COLLEGE SAFETY CLASS

This three-hour class is designed to give your new college student the skills and ability to see trouble coming and avoid it.

During the program, we will talk about information concerning staying safe on campus as well as in the dorm. This information applies to all Universities large and small or Junior College.

Students will learn how to create their own safety plan whether they are away at School or home on spring break.

Some of the topics covered will be Situational awareness, realities of living away from home, defending yourself in the dorm as well as in public, options for self-defense, and responding to active shooter situations on campus.

We will cover statistical information, but also hands on self-defense techniques. You won't be an MMA fighter at the end of the course, but you learn several simple strikes, kicks, and self-defense moves.

Students should wear comfortable clothing for this class as it will involve a physical section where participants will be learning to strike, hit, and kick. Please dress as you would for a normal day of class. Jeans and comfortable top and athletic shoes are fine. No high heels or expensive jewelry.

Our program is taught by OFFICER KEVIN TRIPLETT OF BENEDICTINE UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT AND PAUL WARREN OWNER OF SAFE SIDE TACTICAL. The cost is $65.00.
