GOOD
Cerakote® C Series

Cerakote C-Series is an air cured high temperature series of coating. It is stable up to 1800°F and can withstand thermal shock without degrading color. C-Series are 100% UV stable and has an extremely high chemical resistance. C-Series is sprayed at 1-2 Mil thickness. The C-Series is available in 40 colors.

Cerakote® H Series
BETTER
Cerakote® H Series

H-Series is by far the most used series of the coatings, coming in more than 100 colors it can be used in a wide array of projects. H-Series is sprayed at 0.75 – 2 Mil thickness providing performance in tight tolerance applications. H-Series coatings offer 1000-3000 hours of corrosion resistance depending on the color selected. H-Series is scratch resistant with most colors caring a H9 hardness level. H-Series is thermal stable to 500°F.

Cerakote® Elite Series
BEST
Cerakote® Elite Series

Elite Series is the strongest coating available. Elite Series is sprayed extremely thin at 0.5 – 1 Mil thickness while maintaining class leading performance. Elite Series boasts an impressive 3000+ hours of corrosion resistance and capable of more than 8000 wear cycles. It is extreamly flexable allowing 180° mandrel bend with 0 coating loss. Elite Series also carries an impressive coefficient of friction, rivaling Teflon®. Elite Series is thermal stable to 500°F.

Cerakote® Gen II NiR
LEO & Military Applications
Cerakote® Gen II NiR

A special coating custom designed specifically for military and law enforcement to reduce the IR signature and visual appearance of a weapon, while providing the benefits of strength and abrasion resistance. While not as tough as the Elite series, weapons coated with this series of thin film are better adapted to a lower reflective index, and end up stealthier.

Cerakote Quick FAQ

Absolutely. It won’t chip, flake or scratch off. Tests have shown it more durable than traditional bluing, parkerizing or other finishes. It goes on ultra-thin, and you can still read logos, serial numbers, etc stamped into the gun.

Yes. It makes an old tattered guns look amazing, and prevents any further deterioration. Cerakote won’t restore metal that is pitted to a smooth finish, but with proper application, it will adhere fully and dramatically improve the appearance while stopping rust in its tracks for good.

First it must be fully disassembled–every spring, pin & lever. Next, all parts to be coated are soaked in a degreaser and then heated to draw oil and impurities out of the pores of the metal. The parts are sandblasted down to bare metal. Finally, they are hand sprayed with the Cerakote, and heat cured for several hours.

Approximately 2 weeks from the time the project starts. For complex projects, the process can unto 30 days.

We guarantee our work. We test each piece before it leaves, and if problems develop for any reason, we will re-do it. Understand that while Cerakote will hold up to hard use, it is not magic. You will see wear over time in the same places that you would see wear on any firearm finish–on moving parts (e.g. slide to frame,) holster wear, etc.

Not at all. One point to note is that while the Cerakote is a very thin layer, moving parts in tight tolerance may “stick” a little until they are worked a bit. If we re-assemble the firearm in the shop, we do this as part of our process. If you re-assemble it at home, your best bet is to put a box or two of rounds through it to break all the parts back in. Of course, if that doesn’t do the trick, give us a call or bring it back in and we’ll happily make it right.
