CLASSES for CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT for UTAH and/or FLORIDA
Ilinois is the only state that has no legal concealed carry permit for firearms. Wisconsin has passed their bill and it was signed by the Governor.
Residents of Illinois and Wisconsin do have options!
GAT Guns is now holding classes so you can obtain your CCW permit for Utah and/or Florida. These permits are available to non-residents of these two states. Each permit covers over 30 states. There is a current coverage map and more information on this web site: HANDGUNLAW.US
These state's permits are considered to be the premium permits because they are offered to residents of any state and are honored in approximately 30 states
Classes fill fast, so call in your reservation today! (Credit cards accepted on phone orders). Class size limited to 60 students.
You need to attend only ONE day. The classes start at 12:00 PM. Please come early!
The class fee is $125.00, and the Florida option is an additional $25.00 as Florida requires you show profficency with a firearm. You must bring a firearm and ammunition.
The fee for ID photos is not included in the class fee.
There is a $10.00 fee for fingerprint cards (required for each permit for which you apply)
If you cancel or re-schedule more than two weeks prior to a class there is a $25.00 fee.
If you cancel or re-schedule less than two weeks prior to the class the fee is $50.00.
You must be 21 or older.
NO FOID CARD REQUIRED!
There is no range session required for the Utah permit, but there is for the Florida permit. Completing this class
will entitle you to an application which is signed off by the instructor.

UTAH REQUIREMENTS
UTAH requires that applicants attend a four hour course taught by an instructor certified by the state of Utah. The course covers handgun safety, ethical concerns, and Utah laws pertaining to the CCW permit.
Upon completion of the course, students receive a stamped application certifying that they attended the course. The student can then apply for the CCW permit.
To apply for the permit, the student must submit the following to the state of Utah:
The current fee is $65.25 and the permit is valid for five years from the date of issue. Utah will send a renewal notice before the permit expires. The current cost to renew if $10.00 for another five years.
Utah conducts a complete background check on applicants. Utah has a strict Alcohol violation requirement. Applicants with an alcohol related violation within the last six years may not be eligible for a CCW permit.
FLORIDA REQUIREMENTS
Florida requires CCW permit applicants to be trained in the safe operation of firearms and demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely operate and fire a firearm in a safe and controlled manner.
Upon completion of the course, the applicant receives a signed certificate and information packet with forms needed to apply for the CCW permit.
To apply for the CCW permit, the applicant must submit the following to the state of Florida:
The current application fee is $117.00. The permit is valid for seven years. Florida will sent permit holders a renewal notice before the permit expires. The renewal fee is $107.00.
Note that you must bring or rent a handgun for the range portion of the class. Florida does not tie a specific firearm to the permit.
The Instructor
Paul Warren is a current police officer in the state of Illinois. He is a certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, Certified NA Instructor, and certified by the states of Utah and Florida to teach their CCW class. He teaches beginner firearms safety and handling courses and tactical firearms courses.

When utilizing your UTAH or FLORIDA CCW permit to carry in another state be aware that it is up to the permit holder to obey all of the local laws that regulate firearms possession in that state.
UTAH and FLORIDA do not tie a specific firearm to the permit. You are allowed to carry the firearm of you choice.
